I have served in Title 1 public schools throughout my teaching career, both in North and South Carolina. In 2013 I was so excited to have been given the opportunity to join the DAJA team. I count it a blessing and a privilege to participate in the spiritual and educational development of our children. I am so happy to be married to my wonderful husband John Nixon, II and we are blessed with two awesome children John, III and Julia. I love spending time with my family, playing a round a golf, watching a good movie, reading nonfiction books, singing/writing music and eating. I believe a classroom environment filled with the love of God, respect and encouragement gives students the best opportunity to reach their highest potential. I am also convinced that every student can learn effectively when taught in a structured environment. I believe Christ is the Ultimate Teacher and through the study of His Word students can attain everlasting knowledge.
